How to edit PDF layout online (no upload)

1. Open your PDF in the free PDF editor — it loads locally in your browser, with no upload.
2. Draw a region around the content you want to crop or move using the rectangle, ellipse, or freehand tool, then press Enter to lift it off the page.
3. Drag the lifted content anywhere: reposition it on the same page, resize or rotate it, or move it to a different page. Hold Shift while resizing for uniform scale, or turn on aspect lock and snap-to-grid for precision.
4. Repeat for as many regions as you need, multi-select to nudge several at once, and reorder pages in the sidebar if you want.
5. Click Export to download the full document with your changes applied. Your session can restore from local browser storage after a reload until you clear it.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. PDFQuietly processes your PDF entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.

Can I move content from one page to another?

Yes. Draw a region around any content, then drag it anywhere — including onto a different page. The original spot is filled with the background color and the content is redrawn at its new position when you export.

Can I cut a section out and paste it somewhere else?

Yes. That is exactly how the tool works: select a region with a rectangle, ellipse, or freehand shape, press Enter to lift it off the page, then move, resize, or rotate it before exporting.

Does it change the rest of the page?

No. The exported PDF keeps every page at its original size with all other content untouched. Only the regions you cut are filled in, and only the content you moved is redrawn.

Does editing modify my original PDF?

No. Your original file on disk is never modified. Export downloads a new PDF. While you work, the editor may keep a temporary copy of your project in this browser’s local storage (IndexedDB) so you can restore after a reload — nothing is uploaded. Use Clear saved project or Dismiss on the restore banner to remove it.

How is this different from Auto-Crop PDF Margins?

Auto-crop trims white margins on every page automatically. This free PDF editor lets you crop PDF regions by hand, lift content, white-out areas, and rearrange pieces across pages — precise layout control instead of bulk margin trim.

Should I use crop white-out or Redact for sensitive data?

Layout white-out covers content visually for sharing tidy pages, but determined readers may still recover covered text from some PDFs. Use the Redact tool when you need permanent concealment before releasing a document.

Can I crop multiple regions from different pages?

Yes. Draw as many crop regions as you like across any pages, multi-select and nudge them together, reorder them in the Items panel, and export everything as a single new PDF.

What export options are available?

The default vector export writes the full document — every page at its original size, with cut regions filled and moved content redrawn — at full quality. Pro users can also choose a raster export with custom DPI and image quality.
